Founded in 1809, The Village was one of the first agencies in the country to provide homes for neglected children. Today, The Village continues to help vulnerable children and at-risk families throughout the Greater Hartford region – more than 8,000 each year.
The Village aims to help children succeed academically and socially, parents succeed with effective parenting skills, and families prevent and manage crises. |
United Way of Central and Northeastern CTThe largest United Way in Connecticut (and second largest in New England!), the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut strives to engage people to improve lives and change community conditions.
United Way helps ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households, a newly coined demographic representing one in three working families in the region struggling to make ends meet, succeed. |
Connecticut Economic Development FundCEDF revitalizes Connecticut's distressed neighborhoods by providing capital and technical assistance to small businesses and support for community economic development. CEDF has provided millions of dollars in loans to small businesses, created and retained hundreds of jobs for the state's residents, and funded numerous community planning efforts.
